Where is the other half of the Convention Center?

While I'm in this curmudgeonly mood, I'm planning some further investigation of the Oregon Convention Center.  As I noted in my previous post, it claims to have more than 1,000,000 square feet of space to offer, but its catalogue lists only 366,732 square feet of meeting space and another 128,996 square feet of usable space in lobbies, hallways, and two VIP rooms.  That's just under 500,000 square feet actually offered for use.  Until the 500,000 mystery square feet surface, I'm tempted to think of it as the George Gipp Convention Center: "Where's the rest of me?"
